our art is our reality

Art in itself is a broad topic. Art is defined as an expression of human creative skill and imagination. Art is typically visual like paintings or sculptures, these are supposed to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. Art in a non visual form is all of the many forms of music, they are also meant for the entertainment of the audience and to express emotions. Many people do not agree with the art that we have today. Art can be anything from landscaping, the simple beauty of nature, to break dancing and the confusing stuff that is considered as modern art and everything in between. Many people today don’t agree with all of the stuff we have as art. Today art can be a bunch of splatters, or a dingle dot. These may even be worth millions of dollars. We may not really understand it, but it is enjoyable to some people. Even if it is not the art that you enjoy, it is still art and some people enjoy it.

The form of art that he is talking about is his rap and hip-hop music. Many people like this, but the lyrics have some controversy. There lyrics say to go against the law, and show about drugs, and violence. That is the reality that those men had to deal with growing up. Those men were falsely restrained, and treated harshly only for their skin color. This shows how hard they had to work, and all of the things they had to go through to get to where they got today. This may cause people not in a neighborhood like that to act out their behavior and to try copy gang life even if they don’t need to. They grew up with nice lives with none of the problems that many Compton children went through. They may also disrespect the police that are actually good and trying to keep our society in line. The government and police definitely do not like this, but it connects with people who also grew up in that life style, and they enjoy it.

Throughout the movie the tones of nwa’s musical lyrics change. In the beginning they talk about their dreams, goals, and aspirations. They have a happy tone, a tone of hopes and dreams for a better life. Later on they start to lose their happy tone and it turns out to be more violent and attacking. They start acting like they deserve everything they have. They start attacking the government and police. After they split up they start to change the direction of their violence. They change it from the law to the one that left, and for the one that left he focused it on the band. As they got more successful they lost the way of their original image. They lost all of their goals and aspirations.

Everyone has a different view on what is art. Some people don’t like to think of music as art because it is not visual. Some do not like to think of landscaping as art. Some do not think of modern art or photography as art. Art is like beauty, it is in the eyes of the beholder. Art is created for the enjoyment of others and to express the one who is creating it. Art is all around us, we use it every day, and it makes our lives better.  The designs for everything we use were at one time designed by an artist. The antiques that people keep in their homes are art. I have my father’s grandpa’s old gun hanging in our house. Back when it was in working condition no one would think of it as art, but we use it to tie our living room together. Everything is art, can be art, or made by art. The speeches you hear on the news were written and spoken for your enjoyment. That is art. All of the movies and TV shows that you watch to keep yourself busy is art. The blueprints that made your home a reality are art. Wither you know it or not art is all around you, and it keeps you happy and helps you gets through your life.

Art is different for all people.  In my daily life I really don’t think about what art is, but I can appreciate art when I stand back and think of it. I don’t really like a lot of modern art sculptures and paintings. They just seem so strange and pointless to me. I like older paintings of animals, scenery, and animals. I also like sculptures, pottery, and some decor. I like and can appreciate art, but only for a certain amount of time. I get bored and can only really look at it for so long. I am not an aficionado, or a great lover of the arts, but I can tell when something looks pretty. I honestly like natural art.  I like seeing the beauty of nature or the placement of nature in different settings. Natural beauty and the beauty of simple life is my favorite. Things that are supposed to just show the simple beauty of life is the best. Things such as splatters, modern art, and other stuff like that aren’t my favorite.

Each artist has their own style. They all have a group of people that like the art they produce wither it is musical or visual. We all like and create our own kind of art.  Art is different for everyone, and that is how the world works. We are all different in every way. We have our own personality, own likes and dislikes, and our own attitudes. We are so different there are there is a social science on how we all think psychology. Many groups of people tend to think like each other. If you spend a lot of time with a large group some of their traits rub off on to the members. This is sociology. All of the social sciences are tied together.
